New Christmas (as usual) version of Ruby Language is here. It has many new features like new virtual machine (YARV), encoding support and many more. This version is not meant to be a production release rather development. I am looking forward to give it a try .

There is a very interesting post about Ruby running on top of CLR (.NET Run-time), but there is much more than that. Martin Fowler wrote about Alpha Geeks and possible reasons why are moving away from the Microsoft platform. It was very valuable reading for me, because I have to say that I must agree with some of ideas.
