WordPressUpdater is still under development

June 25th, 2009 by Martin

Recently I wrote about my current spare time project WordPressUpdater. It’s purpose is to help with updating and backuping of multiple WordPress sites. It is still under development, but it will be available soon. At least beta version.

As you can see from screenshot, there are several changes (not only UI related ;) ). I also improved handling of asynchronous operations, general performance and the main is code itself. I did a lot of refactoring – continuous refactoring is essential for code base. My TODO list still contains some crucial features to implement eg. SCP support and MySQL backup.

Because it is quite a lot of code and I really think it will save time for many people, I was thinking about licensing and such. As an OSS lover and user I of course released it as open source, under my company OpenLab Ltd. (I hope we will have our web ready soon). So stay tuned and please leave a comment if you are interested in knowing more or implementing some cool feature :) .
